Persaude Others to Accept My Point
A recent discussion I had in which I tried to persuade others to accept my point of view was vegetarianism. Since I am a vegetarian, it’s ALWAYS brought up that I should eat meat, or I convince others not to eat the animals. The most recent discussion was for lent where my roommate had to decide what to give up. I convinced her to give up meat by telling her the ugly truth behind the cruel meat industry and the healthy aspects of living without meat. She decided to give it a try, and ever since lint has been over, she has still not eaten meat! So I believed my reasoning worked really well =]! GO VEGETARIAN PEOPLE!!

Wow good job Kai! That must have been difficult convincing your room mate to give up meat, especially when a person has eaten meat for a majority of their life. I imagine it could have been difficult for you to convince her as well. Talking about the cruel truth of meat industries can be very gruesome and difficult for both a vegetarian and omnivore to imagine. You obviously did a good job of convincing your room mate because she has not eaten since lint was over. Although I am a meat eater myself, I support vegetarians all the way if that is what they believe in :) Yes, go vegetarians!
ReplyDeleteI used to have a friend who also didn’t like meat. Her reason was how they make it and how it wasn’t so clean instead of how they were raised and killed. She wouldn’t eat any meat that she wasn’t sure how it was made. Everything she ate she was picky about it because of where the food came from. I often tried to convince her it still tastes good and the animals already dead, so why waste it. She is good with sticking with her beliefs so whatever I said did not change her mind at all. I always lose in that discussion.
ReplyDeletehey kai,
ReplyDeletehaha good job on going vegetarian! i actually gave up red meat for my new years resolution and let me just say, it has not been an easy 4 months considering that i love red meat. anyways, yea im pretty much in the same boat as you. i recently persuaded my friend cassandra to do the same. i pretty much explaining to her the benefits that came with it and pretty much telling her its better for you as well. i think... well yea it feels really good to persuade someone into doing something with you ya know? haha i feel like i accomplished something in life haha
Hey there!
ReplyDeletedude you are always telling people to become vegetarian, haha. That's cool, and you give examples about the negatives on eating meat and whatnot. You must have had some very good reasoning since she has yet to eat meat, good job. I am trying to get my boyfriend to stop smoking, I always give him all those facts, the ones I learned in Biology class, the facts just make you want to quit, very unhealthy for you.
